On Grid Solar
At any time during the day, your solar unit in your home could be making you electricity and
money! An On Grid System utilizes a bi-directional meter to measure the electricity flowing into and out of your
home or business. During the day, the sunlight shining on your solar panels, causes them to generate DC
electricity. The DC charge goes through a grid connect inverter, which is part of your On Grid System, and
changes the DC charge to a voltage which works in your home to run your household appliances.
Sometimes you are actually producing more electricity than you can use in your home. Any excess electricity
automatically passes through the meter and into the utility grid. Your meter will actually run backwards and
generate a bill credit for the full retail value of the electricity your system is producing.
